Experience Kennywood's Holiday Lights this Season in Pennsylvania

*Disclaimer - I was invited to experience the Holiday Lights experience, thanks to Kennywood and am sharing our time there.

Are you looking for something to do as a family for the holidays?

Pittsburgh’s Home for the Holidays is headlined by more days, more rides than ever before and the park’s all-new Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer™ immersive walk-through experience. All event info can be found on our website here. It will be available November 15, 2024 until January 1, 2025, so you still have PLENTY of time to go visit and enjoy it.

This was one of THE coolest experiences that I have done so far at an amusement park. My kids were unfortunately not able to go with me this time, but I took my sister-in-law and her three grandkids with me and we had a blast. Due to their privacy, I am not sharing their pictures, but I took LOTS of pictures of the lights and one of me with the lights in the background, for this post.

When we were walking, we found Santa's Workshop so we knew we had to stop and get their picture with Santa and they definitely enjoyed being able to do that. She went with the package that gave her one digital file and one printed photo for $29.99. They turned out really nice too.

I thought it was really cool being able to see the roller coaster up close like this with Christmas lights all around it, not just being in the dark which in itself was really cool.

We did end up going on the carosel twice so the kids absolutely loved that. We got to the park quite late compared to what we were hoping - we got there around 7pm due to it being 2 1/2 - 3 hours from where we live, but we DEFINITELY want to go back with my kids since they are the perfect ages for enjoying it and the rides, but we want to come at the time it starts which is between 3 - 9pm so that would give us a lot of extra time to ride what they and we want to, and enjoy all of the lights more thoroughly.

We saw the BIGGEST Christmas tree display that I have ever seen anywhere; it was HUGE and absolutely beautiful as you can see below. So much detail went into the lights and so many lights are all around the entire thing. It was really cool to see up close like we did.

When we were leaving the park, they had a couple of signs which I found pretty cool.

I definitely would love to come back as well as be able to come back in the summer time for more thorough experience with the rides and such, outside of the holiday lights event. I am not sure how I have never been to Kennywood before last night! It is such a blast for everyone of all ages to have fun and enjoy.
