Are you looking for a good pie to make this holiday?
I have always enjoyed pumpkin pie as a holiday dessert for Christmas dinner at my in laws house. And, this year I was asked by a brand to make a dessert with some products they sent, and these pies turned out GREAT!
You'll need to have these ingredients to make this one:
- 15 oz can of pumpkin
- 14 oz can of Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk
- 2 Large eggs
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 9 inch unbaked pie crust
Directions on baking the pumpkin pie:
You will need to first pre-heat the oven to 425 degrees, so it's ready when you need it.
1. Whisk the pumpkin, sweetened condensed milk, eggs, the spices and the salt in a medium bowl until it's smooth.
2. You'll need to pour it into crust, and bake for 15 minutes.
3. Reduce the oven temperature to 350 degrees and keep baking for 35 - 40 minutes. But the way my husband always told me to make sure it's done, is by sticking a knife into pie and it comes out clean.
4. Let it cool and enjoy!
This was fun to make, mix, taste test, and finally bake and enjoy with our family!
