Yesterday while I was at work, it started to snow and by 1 hour it was coming down hard and fast. The daycare center closed and we called all of our children's parents and I was gone by 3:30ish.
I don't drive in snow, but I was at work with my dad's van so I did this time and I don't want to have to do that again. It was like a blizzard, but that was only the beginning of this massive snowstorm we are getting here in Virginia where we do not see very much snow at all.
Enjoy some beautiful snow pictures and some snow fun with my kiddos today!
Last night, there was probably 4 inches maybe 8 inches of snow on the ground. Well, I woke up to my kids saying "Mommy, get up lets go play in the snow" at 7:45am. I go to look out the window to see SNOW everywhere! There was about 10 - 12 inches of snow at about 8 - 10am. Well by 1pm, we had 2 feet of snow!
The 1 interstate is closed except for tractor trailers and vehicles going on long distance trips. Our road is not clear, but my dad and kids and I shoveled the driveway and cleared off the car earlier at around 12:30pm. At 2:30, it was all covered again.

What a beautiful snow! But I'm ready for spring now!
ReplyDeleteMy parents got it in Northern VA too! We've been living with it here in RI as well!
ReplyDeleteWe live just a little south of you and we had about a foot. A lot melted off yesterday, though. :(
